Inspiration
The freight matching project for trucks is a visionary initiative that has the potential to reduce carbon footprint outstandingly and transform the logistics industry. By using the power of technology, this project is bringing shippers and carriers closer than ever before, making the entire process more efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly. Our team's creativity has resulted in a prototype that is easy to use, secure, and reliable. With this project, we have demonstrated that technology can be a powerful tool for solving real-world problems and driving positive change. By leveraging data and algorithms, we are connecting businesses and communities across the country, opening up new opportunities for growth and prosperity.
What it does
CargoGo is a truck freight matching digital platform that connects shippers and carriers in the logistics industry. The app works by allowing shippers to request for a carrier and choose date, time, the type of cargo, origin, and destination. Carriers can then browse these listings and select the loads that match their truck capacity and preferred routes. The app uses advanced algorithms and real-time data to ensure that matches are made efficiently and cost-effectively, helping shippers save time and money while allowing carriers to optimize their routes and increase profitability.
How we built it
According to the limited time that we had in this event, we came up with an idea and tried to develop a prototype using figma for it.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenges for us were to be distinctive compared to our competitors in terms of innovation, profitability, and increase the efficiency of the usage of free space in trucks. Whilst, we can focus on the problem of reducing carbon emissions.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to build an interactive UI prototype for our project despite the short time span.
What we learned
We learnt more about freight logistics business and brainstorm to make it more efficient. We also learnt more about figma and prezi.
What's next for CargoGo
In the phase 2 of the project, we would use IoT devices in the vehicles for monitoring and track shipments. Moreover, we try to implement Big Data analysis for Predictive Maintenance. In future phases, we use Augumented Reality to forsee the truck's space for efficient loading.
