Inspiration
For many people, especially our immigrant and minority communities—accessing care is a maze. Language barriers and complex instruction shouldn't stand in the way of recovery.
Our mission is to bridge that gap. People with language barrier or social barrier to accessing healthcare can be overwhelmed with the things they need to do after a doctor’s visit. Our app aims to make these seemingly exhaustive list of medication and post-visit procedure simple. No one should leave a doctor's office feeling more confused than when they walked in
What it does
Takes in after-visit summary data, analyzes it and gives recommendations (and daily reminders)
How we built it
Fast API for Backgand, React/Next.JS for frontend
Challenges we ran into
Deploying it as an actual website, bypassing permissions
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Integrated many APIs including Twilio, google translate
What we learned
Scoping out our project with multiple features, integrating 3rd party APIs, merge failure/conflict resolution
What's next for CarePost
Implementing it as a mobile app, integrating our Figma design. Fixing Twilio (full integration), fixing the website. Integrating it with Google Calendar for schedule optimization
