Inspiration
This summer while I was in Germany grandparents benifitted from the aid from a nursing aid, 3 caregivers from the local, government-funded nursing service helped them significantly. Unfortunately my grandpa recently passed from cancer, however, nurses being able to come and help him take his medication, and do other daily tasks helped him greatly.
What it does
My grandparents often missed the nurses visits because they were really tired and slept a lot of the day. This program optimizes routes and detects when household members are active using past electrical hourly data, obtained from their electricity provider. This avoids the friction of technology which becomes increasingly difficult to manage with age and facilitates the end goal: helping the elderly.
How we built it
We built it using python, several corresponding libraries and the google maps API
