Inspiration

Healthcare accessibility remains a major challenge, especially in rural and underserved areas. People may delay medical consultation due to cost, distance, or lack of awareness. This inspired us to develop CareNova, an AI-powered platform focused on preventive healthcare, early risk identification, and better health awareness.

What it does

CareNova aims to help users monitor their health and take preventive action through:

  • AI Symptom Analyzer: Analyzes user-entered symptoms and provides health assessments and recommendations.
  • Health Risk Assessment: Identifies potential health risks using medical history, lifestyle patterns, and health records.
  • Smart Health Monitoring: Supports monitoring of vital signs, activity levels, and other health indicators.
  • Emergency Alert System: Helps notify family members or healthcare providers during emergencies.

How we built it

Our proposed technology stack includes React, HTML, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, Express.js, Python, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, MongoDB, Firebase, AWS Cloud, and IoT health sensors.

The planned workflow involves collecting user health information, securely storing and preprocessing the data, analyzing patterns using AI/ML models, generating personalized preventive recommendations, and displaying health insights through an interactive dashboard.

Challenges we faced

Designing a unified platform that combines health monitoring, risk prediction, personalized recommendations, and emergency support is a key challenge. Other important considerations include protecting sensitive health data, making the platform accessible to underserved communities, and ensuring that AI-generated assessments are used responsibly.

What we learned

Through this project, we explored how AI, machine learning, web development, cloud technologies, and IoT can be combined to support preventive healthcare. We also learned the importance of user accessibility, personalized health insights, and early intervention.

Future plans

Our future plans include an AI Health Chat Assistant, telemedicine integration, wearable device connectivity, chronic disease risk prediction, and multilingual support.

Vision: To make preventive healthcare more accessible and help people make informed decisions about their well-being.
