Inspiration
Pet owners and care providers can lose important context between appointments. CareLoop explores timely, accountable follow-up communication based on routine pet-care observations.
What it does
CareLoop is a safety-gated agentic communication prototype. Its proposed workflow turns synthetic observations into follow-up communications, with explicit authorization, allowlisted recipients, and default dry-run behavior to avoid unintended sending.
How we built it
A Python AWS Lambda handler prototype targets Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). The broader design anticipates context-aware communication across care touchpoints. The Lambda prototype enforces dry-run by default and tests SES client behaviors with mocked responses. We have not yet verified successful live SES service invocation or deployed this Build 15 prototype to AWS Staging.
Testing and results
Windows Python 3.14: 12 of 12 local unit tests passed. Coverage includes input validation, recipient allowlists, required approval, disabled live sending, token checks, and mocked SES success and failure behavior. All data used in the demonstration is synthetic.
Current limitations and next steps
AWS Identity Center non-root permissions, SES verified identities, safe staging deployment, and real AWS SES call evidence are pending. The separate hackathon eligibility requirements, including APN enrollment and an AWS Partner Central ACE opportunity ID, also require verification. This page describes a prototype, not a production system or a completed AWS CDS deployment.
