Inspiration

I got the idea after visiting a salon and waiting over an hour just to be served. The place was great, but they didn’t have any digital system for booking or managing time. That experience made me want to build something useful and easy for both salon owners and customers.

What it does

It allows clients to book appointments in a salon then make payments through mpesa "Local mobile payment in kenya". I've integrated with daraja API to accept payments through STK

How we built it

I've used vanila JS, html,css and node.js as the backend and also express framework.

Challenges we ran into

Integrating daraja API was a bit complex but I pulled it off, it took me time but finally it worked.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud about the interface it's perfect and easy to understand with new users also the STK push which make it easier to receive and make payments.

What we learned

Software development is really interesting and you can achieve almost everything you only need an idea and focus on it ☺️

What's next for Carefor salon

I've received multiple clients so far maybe I'll scale it up in the near future. This was really an interesting project to work on.
