Inspiration
Hospitals and clinics often struggle with fragmented systems and manual workflows. We built CareFlow to simplify healthcare management through one centralized and secure platform.
What it does
CareFlow is a role-based hospital management system that helps patients, doctors, and admins manage appointments, medical records, prescriptions, tasks, notifications, and analytics efficiently.
How we built it
- Frontend — React + TypeScript
- Backend — Supabase
- Database — PostgreSQL with RLS
- Authentication — Supabase Auth
- Authorization — Role-based access control (RBAC)
- Responsive UI built using Tailwind CSS
Challenges we ran into
Implementing secure role-based access, managing healthcare workflows, designing scalable database structures, and deploying a stable full-stack application within hackathon timelines.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Built a deployable full-stack healthcare platform
- Implemented secure authentication and RBAC
- Created responsive dashboards for different user roles
- Successfully connected frontend, backend, and database workflows
What we learned
We learned full-stack architecture design, database security with RLS, authentication flows, API integration, deployment workflows, and effective MVP planning.
What's next for CareFlow Hospital Management System
We plan to add AI-powered analytics, e-prescriptions, smart scheduling, and advanced hospital workflow automation.
