Inspiration

As students, we realized that preparing for a career is often confusing and overwhelming. Finding the right learning resources, building an ATS-friendly resume, preparing for interviews, and discovering suitable job opportunities usually requires switching between multiple platforms. We wanted to simplify this journey by creating a single AI-powered platform that provides personalized career guidance and helps students become industry-ready.

What it does

CareerVerse-AI is an AI-powered career companion that helps students and job seekers make informed career decisions.

The platform enables users to: Generate personalized career roadmaps Analyze resumes with ATS-based feedback Identify skill gaps Practice AI-powered mock interviews Receive personalized learning recommendations Discover relevant internships and job opportunities Track progress and career growth through an interactive dashboard Our goal is to make career preparation smarter, personalized, and accessible for everyone.

How we built it

We built CareerVerse-AI using a modern full-stack architecture.

Challenges we ran into

Building an AI-powered platform came with several challenges. We had to design meaningful prompts for Gemini to generate personalized responses, integrate secure authentication, structure the database efficiently, and create a responsive interface. Ensuring that career recommendations were relevant while keeping API responses fast and reliable required multiple iterations and testing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a complete AI-powered career guidance platform. Integrated resume analysis, career roadmaps, and AI interview preparation. Created a clean, user-friendly interface. Successfully combined multiple career tools into one platform. Delivered a functional MVP within the hackathon timeline.

What we learned

This project helped us gain hands-on experience with AI integration, prompt engineering, full-stack development, database design, authentication, and deploying production-ready applications. We also learned the importance of user-centric design and teamwork while building an end-to-end solution.
