Inspiration
The idea for this project emerged from my own experience while searching for my final-year internship. Like many students, I initially relied on tools like Excel and Notion to track my applications. However, I quickly realized that these general-purpose tools were not fit for the task.
I identified two main "pain points":
- Lack of Visual Clarity: Standard spreadsheets become cluttered quickly, making it difficult to visualize the recruitment pipeline at a glance.
- Analytical Friction: Generating meaningful statistics (such as success rates or total volume) required manual calculations or complex formulas that were time-consuming to maintain.
The Solution
To solve these issues, I decided to develop a Job Application Tracker specifically designed for individuals. The goal is to provide a clean, intuitive interface to centralize the job hunt process.
Core Features:
- Status Management: A visual workflow to categorize applications (In Progress, Rejected, Interview Scheduled).
- Automated Analytics: A dedicated statistics dashboard that aggregates the total number of applications and provides a breakdown of results automatically.
