Inspiration

Our inspiration came from our personal experiences, when we encountered challenges of determining a career path to take. Hence, we decided to add features we felt was meaningful to helping individuals in job seeking.

What it does

Our website helps youths (or anyone) have a clearer understanding of themselves and to match suitable jobs to them.

Special features

Gamified simulation through a Choose your Adventure text-based game. It allows the user to respond however they like, using AI to have a personalized response in turn. In the background, it analyses the user's choices to determine their skills and personality, which helps it recommend suitable jobs to the user. We also used a metrics to match individuals to jobs by seeing the number of overlaps in skillset of individuals over the required total required skills provided in the job description to determine their percentage.

What's next for CareerLaunch

It can be further improved and integrated with more datasets, extending its applicability to showcase the skill gaps that individuals may have so that they would have a direction to work towards.
