Inspiration

Many students and job seekers struggle with the question: “What should I do next?” They don’t have easy access to personalized guidance that fits their skills, interests, and background. Seeing this widespread challenge, especially among young people in Morocco and the wider region, inspired us to create CareerSpark — an AI-powered assistant that helps users find clear, actionable career paths and learning plans.

What it does

CareerSpark listens to your story — through voice or text — and uses AI to analyze your skills, experience, and interests. It then provides personalized career recommendations, skill-building resources, CV templates, and step-by-step action plans to help you move forward confidently. Whether you’re a student deciding on a major or someone looking for a new job, CareerSpark guides you with tailored advice.

How we built it

We built CareerSpark using Bolt.new for a fast, no-code development experience. We integrated voice AI using ElevenLabs and conversational AI with Tavus to create a natural, interactive user experience. Supabase powers our backend database and user authentication, while Netlify hosts the deployed app, ensuring fast and reliable access.

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge was balancing the complexity of AI-powered recommendations with the need for a simple and intuitive user interface. We also had to optimize the AI’s understanding of diverse user backgrounds to provide useful and accurate advice. Integrating multiple AI services seamlessly on a no-code platform was a technical hurdle we overcame with persistence.

What we learned

We gained hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI tools and no-code development platforms. We also learned the importance of user-centered design in making AI-powered solutions practical and approachable for everyday users. Lastly, we improved our skills in integrating multiple cloud services to build a smooth and scalable product.

What's next for CareerSpark

We plan to enhance the AI’s capabilities with more detailed career mapping and localized content for different regions. Adding social features to connect users with mentors and peers is also on the roadmap. Finally, we want to expand language support and add offline access to make CareerSpark even more inclusive.
