Inspiration

I built CareerShield AI after seeing classmates stress about AI replacing jobs. Most career sites give generic advice. I wanted a simple tool that shows real automation risk and then gives a clear, practical next step.

What it does

CareerShield AI turns any job title or description into actionable career intelligence:

  • Automation Risk Score (0-100)
  • Top 3 tasks most likely to be automated
  • 3 human-proof skills to develop
  • 3 safer alternative career paths
  • A 30-day step-by-step action plan

How I built it

  • Frontend: HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript with a responsive glassmorphism UI
  • Risk engine: Custom scoring logic based on task patterns
  • Hosting: Deployed on GitHub Pages for free, fast access
  • Built solo for the Youth Code x AI Challenge 2026

Challenges I ran into

  • Designing a risk score that is honest but not discouraging
  • Fixing GitHub Pages deployment (file naming issues)
  • Keeping the app lightweight for mobile users

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

  • Completed a working MVP in under 24 hours
  • Deployed a live, public demo from scratch
  • Created a tool that gives action, not just analysis

  • Integrate a real AI model for deeper analysis
