Motivation: Many students and young professionals struggle to identify the career paths best suited to their interests and skills. Our app provides an interactive, fun, and personalized career discovery experience using short, Akinator-style questions. The goal is to empower users to explore career options, understand their strengths, and make informed decisions, especially within their local community context.
Challenges Tackled: We focused on creating a dynamic, engaging question flow that adapts based on user responses, similar to Akinator. Designing a clean, interactive UI in pure HTML/CSS/JavaScript was challenging, as we had to manage question progression, answer tracking, and result computation without relying on frameworks. Additionally, integrating AI logic to generate meaningful recommendations while maintaining offline fallback options was a key technical hurdle.
Learnings & Impact: This project strengthened our understanding of interactive web development, AI-driven decision logic, and user experience design. The app can help users discover personalized career paths, visualize their strengths, and explore potential local opportunities. With further enhancements, it could serve as a guidance tool for schools, universities, and local community programs, supporting youth in making informed career choices.
