Inspiration CareerPlus-AI was inspired by the struggles many African youths face—unclear career paths, limited guidance, and job information scattered everywhere. I wanted to create something warm, smart, and human: a career mentor that fits in your pocket.
What it does Users first create a profile, then take an adaptive AI-powered quiz, and instantly receive career matches, skills roadmaps, and job recommendations tailored to their strengths.
How we built it Built with Next.js 14, Tailwind, Framer Motion, and an AI-driven matching engine. I combined clean UX, profile-first onboarding, adaptive quiz logic, and a guided results dashboard.
Challenges we ran into Connecting the profile → quiz → job-matching flow was tough. Designing the AI match system and protecting quiz routes also required careful logic and testing.
Accomplishments that we're proud of Creating a platform that feels friendly, supportive, and intelligent—something that actually helps people understand themselves better.
