Inspiration In today’s fast-changing job market, many students struggle to understand which skills they need to succeed in their desired careers. Traditional education systems often lack personalization and real-time industry alignment.

We were inspired to build CareerCraft AI to bridge this gap—helping students make smarter career decisions using data and AI. The goal was simple: create a system that not only recommends what to learn, but why it matters for a specific career path.

What it does CareerCraft AI analyzes a user’s interests, current skills, and goals to:

Identify skill gaps Recommend personalized learning paths Suggest relevant career options Provide real-time feedback and progress tracking

How we built it We designed the system with a modular architecture:

Frontend: Interactive UI for user input and dashboard visualization Backend: API layer handling logic and recommendations AI Engine: Processes user data and generates personalized suggestions Database: Stores user profiles, skills, and learning progress The recommendation system works by mapping user skills to job requirements and calculating a “skill gap score” to prioritize learning paths.
