About CareerCompass AI:
CareerCompass AI is a web-based application designed to help students evaluate their career readiness based on their current skills. Many students are unsure whether they have the technical skills required for their dream careers.
The application allows users to enter their name, select a desired career, and provide their existing skills. It then compares these skills with industry-relevant requirements and generates a Career Readiness Score, identifies strengths, highlights missing skills, and provides personalized suggestions along with a recommended learning roadmap.
This project was built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a simple rule-based recommendation system. The goal is to help students understand their skill gaps and prepare effectively for internships and future career opportunities.

Challenges Faced: As this was my first hackathon, understanding the project workflow, designing the interface, and implementing the career analysis logic within a limited time were the biggest challenges. Completing a working prototype under the deadline was a valuable learning experience.
