At CareerCompass, we believe every student's journey towards their dream career should be supported by a guiding light. Our platform is designed to empower students with personalized career guidance and a plethora of resources that illuminate their path to success. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies like React, Tailwind, SQLite, Django, Auth0, and Artificial Intelligence, CareerCompass aims to be the compass that points students towards the most promising career options aligned with their passions and talents.

Inspiration

As students ourselves, we've experienced firsthand the overwhelming challenges of making career decisions. We witnessed countless peers struggling to find direction amidst a sea of choices, often lacking access to personalized guidance and valuable resources. This inspired us to create CareerCompass, a revolutionary solution to empower students with tailored career recommendations, comprehensive roadmaps, and a curated resource hub. By addressing this real-world problem, we aim to equip students with the tools and support they need to confidently embark on their educational journeys, shaping a future where no student feels lost or uncertain about their path ahead.

What it does

CareerCompass is an educational career-guiding platform that empowers students to explore personalized career options. Students input their interests, and the platform suggests suitable career paths. Roadmaps outline essential steps and milestones for each career, guiding students towards success. The resource hub offers curated materials, including books, YouTube links, and communities. Students can bookmark resources, stored in an SQLite database, for easy access. Auth0 ensures secure logins, while React and Tailwind provide an interactive and aesthetically pleasing user experience. CareerCompass fosters a supportive community where students share experiences and insights, revolutionizing educational career guidance for a brighter future.

How we built it
