Inspiration Choosing a career is one of the most confusing decisions for students and early professionals. Many people don’t know which skills are in demand or how to align their interests with real-world opportunities. This inspired us to build CareerAI, a platform that uses AI and real data to guide users toward the right career path instead of relying on guesswork. What it does CareerAI is an AI-powered platform that analyzes a user’s skills and compares them with current market trends. It recommends suitable career paths, identifies missing skills, and provides a step-by-step roadmap. The system also predicts future growth opportunities and gives a career readiness score. How we built it We used datasets such as Google Trends and skill-based datasets to analyze job market demand. Using AI capabilities, we performed data analysis, extracted insights, and built a prediction model. The frontend was designed using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, while backend logic and AI processing were handled using Python-based tools. Zerve’s AI platform helped automate analysis, iterate on errors, and streamline the workflow. Challenges we ran into One of the biggest challenges was finding relevant datasets and cleaning the data for accurate analysis. Another challenge was designing a system that gives meaningful and realistic career suggestions instead of generic outputs. Integrating AI predictions with a simple user interface was also difficult. Accomplishments that we're proud of We successfully built a working AI-based system that provides personalized career recommendations. The platform not only suggests jobs but also explains how to reach them, making it practical and user-friendly. What we learned We learned how to work with real-world datasets, perform AI-based analysis, and build a complete project from idea to deployment. We also understood how AI can simplify complex decision-making processes. What's next for CareerAI We plan to improve prediction accuracy by adding more datasets and advanced models. Future updates include real-time job integration, personalized learning resources, and a more interactive dashboard.
