Inspiration

Information being shared on the Internet has increased significantly, especially around tech, where it can be difficult and daunting task figure out where to begin if you either trying to get into tech or reach a career goal. From courses, certificates, projects to more formal - books, it can be hard to find accurate and single source to guide you. Thus, idea came to mind, what if AI and ML scan all of Internet and gave us our own personalized career roadmap in a single page. Meet Career Roadmap - your personalized roadmap generator which will give you skills expected from your career goal position, courses, books, certifications, and projects you can proactively work on to achieve it within a given time frame.

What it does

Given your Career Goal_ and Goal Time frame, it gives you skills expected in that career, recommends you courses, certificates, and projects you can work on to hone your skills. Lastly, it gives you actual roadmap (schedule) you can use to work on considering that you are a full-time employee. It uses all that information to allow you to chat with bot in real-time to answer all your burning questions you may have!

How it was built

It is build on code-free, hands-on platform created by Amazon Web Services - PartyRock.

Challenges we ran into

Learning the basic functionality of the user-interface and exploring different foundation models (FMs) provided by Amazon.

What's next for Career Roadmap

Iterate the version of the app such that it gives you more control over the actual roadmap (schedule) timeline, allow user input on preferences such as which learning platform they prefer (edX, Coursera, Udemy etc.), whether they want free, paid, or both courses recommendation.
