Inspiration

Career uncertainty is one of the biggest roadblocks for students entering tech and professional careers. At hackathons, we saw talented peers struggle not with capability, but with direction—not knowing which career suits them, what to learn, or how to structure their progress. We wanted to build a tool that gives every student a clear, personalized roadmap instead of generic advice.

What it does

Career Path is an AI-powered career navigator that provides. Personalized career roadmaps based on interests, skills and personality. Step-by-step learning milestones (courses, tools, portfolio goals, and timelines). Project and task suggestions to apply knowledge practically. Progress tracking to stay consistent on the selected path. It transforms career confusion into actionable plans, helping users move from “I want to become…” to “I know exactly what to do next.”

How we built it

We developed Career Path as a mobile-first app for accessibility. The backend is powered by AI models to analyze user input and generate structured paths Roadmaps are assembled dynamically with learning nodes, timelines, and tasks The UI focuses on simplicity, clarity and motivation We used our hackathon environment to rapidly prototype, iterate, and optimize performance Our core goal was a system that guides, tracks, and helps execute—not just recommend.

Challenges we ran into

Getting AI suggestions to be structured but not overwhelming. Designing a roadmap system that works for multiple career domains. Ensuring the app stays fast, simple and beginner-friendly. Balancing personalization with hackathon time constraints. Despite tight timelines, we managed to deliver a functional and impact-driven prototype.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Real-time AI generated career maps tailored to each student. A roadmap system that outputs clear next steps. A fully working hackathon prototype built in a single file project setup. Solving a real student problem with high scalability potential. Our biggest win is impact over complexity—Career Path actually guides execution.

What we learned

AI is most useful when it provides direction, structure, and action, not long answers. Users trust solutions that are intuitive and personal. Hackathons are the best place to test real-world student pain points. Build for impact first, features second to tell a strong story.

What's next for Career Path

We plan to expand the app into: Multi-language support for India. More motivation layers. Mentor-verified roadmap suggestions. Domain expansion beyond tech into non-IT careers.

We aim to make Career Path a digital career companion for every student.
