Inspiration

What inspired me is that there are different kinds of website applications that can be designed if you don't know how to code.

What it does

An app that displays the career fairs and companies. One fair have many different kinds of companies that will show their information and job positions they offer to the employees. The company managers/event managers can add/delete their information so the users can look.

How we built it

We built it with a website called AppSheet that creates a web application. So, we can see the app with the browser and an install link. Browser Link is a link that can be looked through browsers. Install link is a link that will send the user the link that they need to install both AppSheet and the app.

Challenges we ran into

We faced many challenges since this was our first time building the app. I had trouble with building it whether I should use programming languages such as C++/Java or use a website that offers free creators. So we began to work separately by other of my two members worked on the website that has a database with HTML and I worked on the mobile app since the project was "need a mobile app". AppSheet is a great website since either you can do it from scratch or get some templates from the ideas that they offer. However, the app cannot be released to public because it needs to be paid with a subscription plan. So either demos the project from website application or code the whole thing. I decided to search for multiple websites that can offer the creators since I'm still learning Java.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

One of the accomplishments is that it worked fine after we designed it. We thought it won't work well since this was our first time doing the project.

What we learned

We learned that we need more information from each other to create the project efficiently in order to not get struggled.

What's next for Career Fair paperless mobile app version

The next thing for the app is that we want to add the function of the map. I meant once we get the map with booths, we need to be able to show where the companies are located in each booth so the user can look up companies they want to be recruited easily and quickly. Therefore, the user can go to the company they want in the fair since there will be lots of companies that the user will have trouble finding it unless we add the function. Also, we need to make sure that the security needs to be going well to allow the event managers and the company managers can add/delete their information so the user cannot add/delete the events/companies. The user can look but not modify. Finally, we need to add the filter function so the user can find the companies quick and easily what the user is looking for.
