The future of search

Inspiration

After I graduated from the university, I started my job hunting process. It was an extremely mentally draining and exhausting process that wrecked my confidence. Navigating a career path in general at all stages of life can be extremely frustrating. During my research, in an attempt to gain additional skills, certifications and find new opportunities, I stumble upon the google conference scholarship but sadly it was too late for me as I had already graduated. I was even more saddened when I discovered the Google Black founders fund Africa. This and the myriad of other google opportunities some of which I didn't meet the age requirement any more made me realise there are a ton of opportunities out there for everyone. A personalised and tailored search engine based on ones profile or aspirations is the future, even more so with the increasing amount of data being being produce both by humans and AI. How to get to these opportunities in a single click ?. Also Google has made it its mission to accompany individuals in their quest for knowledge and has a myriad of opportunities for individuals from all background. To be able to be provided with these opportunities in a single click can be beneficial for both parties.

What it does

Helps one navigate the intimidating journey of determining what next steps to take to have the desired career while equally providing some available resources that can be helpful. To have words of encouragement and an AI do extensive search and summarising the finding can be liberating. Example, I'm a virtual assistant and I want to become a pilot. How do I proceed?

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

The first model I choose was Gemini pro but the API does not support images yet.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The language model itself help in the design of the prompts. I ask the language model to define the role of a career planner to be sure I get its understanding and see if we are on the same page. I then strip out the part of the response that I did not want in my final output
