Inspiration
We noticed that many recent graduates have difficulty highlighting their skills and experiences effectively, especially with the current job market. We wanted to create a tool that simplifies the resume-building process while maintaining a coherent structure.
What it does
Generates a well-structured resume outline from basic user inputs like work experience, contact information, education, and skills.
How we built it
Using React and JavaScript to create the front end, we connected user inputs to Groq AI to generate an easily customizable template.
Challenges we ran into
While creating this tool we came across multiple challenges. We had trouble formatting the webpage, as we had never previously worked with React, implementing Groq into the project, and uploading our finished product on GitHub.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We identified an ongoing issue in society and generated an outline for how we want to resolve said issue. Despite our struggles, we stuck together as a team and persevered, and because of our determination, we were able to navigate through React, use JavaScript to create the code and sync Groq with our front end.
What we learned
We learned what React was, and were able to make a dynamic user interface, how to use Groq for data fetching, GitHub collaboration, combining technologies, and practicing good troubleshooting skills.
What's next for Career Craft
We hope to polish up the website for a more professional look and have options for users to match the ATS for specific job applications.
