Inspiration

Many students and freshers struggle to decide what skills do they need to prepare themselves to become a future full stack developer, ai/ml developer etc. They don't know what how to build a proper resume and what recruiters look for in their resume. That's the problem solved by our app, it helps student improve their resume and grab a internship or job opportunity.

What it does

Career Copilot critically analyses your resume and give an honest review with pros and cons accompanied by improvement suggestions . Also is provides the facility of growth tracker that helps u see the progress your resume have made so far comparing different versions of it.

How we built it

We built Career Copilot using: React.js for the frontend Node.js and Express.js for the backend Gemini API for resume evaluation and personalized feedback Supabase for storing user history and growth tracking PDF parsing for extracting resume content Novus Analytics for product insights and event tracking Vercel and for deployment

Challenges we ran into

one of the biggest challenges were to provide a personalised and distinct review for every resume rather than general one . another challenge was to implement the concept of growth tracker and make it easy to understand

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully built an end-to-end AI-powered resume review platform.

Implemented role-specific resume evaluation instead of generic resume scoring.
Developed a Growth Tracker that compares multiple resume versions and visualizes progress over time.
Created a user-friendly interface that simplifies resume improvement for students and freshers.
Integrated analytics, cloud deployment, database storage, and AI capabilities into a single product.

What we learned

We learned how to integrate AI in a full stack app, how to derive out a scanned review of any uploaded file via parsing and how to store data in Supa base.
