Inspiration : The inspiration for Career Compass came from my own experiences of struggling to identify potential career paths based on my interests and preferences. I wanted to create a tool that could help others in similar situations by leveraging AI-based technology.
What it does: Career Compass is an AI-based web application that helps users identify potential career paths based on their responses to an interactive questionnaire. The application then provides personalized recommendations for top books, colleges, and TEDX talks relevant to each career path.
How we built it: Career Compass was built using a variety of tools and technologies, including HTML/CSS for the front-end design, JavaScript for the interactive questionnaire, Python for the AI-based model, and various APIs for the book, college, and TEDX recommendations.
Challenges we ran into: One of the main challenges we encountered was integrating the different tools and technologies used in the project, as well as ensuring that the AI-based model was accurate and reliable.
Accomplishments that we're proud of: We're proud of creating an AI-based tool that can help users identify potential career paths based on their interests and preferences, as well as providing personalized recommendations for further learning and development.
What we learned: Through the development of Career Compass, we learned a lot about the potential of AI-based technology for personalized career guidance, as well as the importance of user feedback and continuous iteration in the development process.
What's next for Career Compass: In the future, we plan to continue refining and improving the AI-based model used in Career Compass, as well as incorporating additional features such as career counseling and mentorship matching.
