Inspiration: Many students are unaware of job markets and pathways, and go into degrees without being fully informed. Our goal is to support students, and give them detailed career pathways.

What it does: takes user information to build a profile, then recommends career pathways for the user. How we built it: used a python program to collect user information, which was then sent to the Gemini API, which processes the information and sends back career pathways to the user.

Challenges we ran into: Figuring out how to use the Gemini API, and how to get it to work with the code. Accomplishments that we're proud of: building a functioning program which demonstrates our concept, and that can support users.

What's next for Career Compass: Our goal is to sell Career Compass to LinkedIn, in order to have more support for features, and to connect users to people in their target fields. Also we want to build a polished final user interface for users.
