Inspiration

Career preparation today is fragmented — students often use separate tools for skill-gap analysis, interview preparation, resume building, internship discovery, and higher studies guidance, with little personalization. We wanted to build a single intelligent platform that brings all of these together through AI-powered guidance.

What We Built

We built Career Command Center AI, an end-to-end career advisory platform that combines:

  • Skill-gap analysis
  • AI mock interviews with skill verification
  • Resume evolution using verified skills
  • Job and internship recommendations
  • Self-introduction coaching
  • Higher studies guidance
  • A Gemini-powered career chatbot for personalized mentoring

A unique feature of the platform is AI Skill Verification, where users who score 8 out of 10 or above in mock interviews earn verified skill badges that can be added into their evolving resume.

How We Built It

We built the frontend using Next.js, React, Tailwind CSS, and Framer Motion for an interactive user experience.

The backend was built with Python and FastAPI, integrating the Gemini API as the reasoning engine for:

  • Personalized skill-gap analysis
  • Prompt-driven interview generation
  • Conversational career mentoring
  • Roadmap generation
  • Multimodal career guidance

We also used structured prompting and JSON outputs to make AI responses reliable and actionable.

Challenges We Faced

Some key challenges were:

  • Designing personalized AI outputs instead of generic responses
  • Prompt engineering for consistent reasoning results
  • Building interview evaluation and skill verification logic
  • Connecting multiple modules like interview performance and resume evolution into one workflow
  • Creating a seamless full-stack AI application experience

What We Learned
