Inspiration

Accessing healthcare information can be frustrating and time-consuming, often requiring patients to contact multiple clinics just to find an available provider. We were inspired to simplify this process by creating a centralized and easy-to-use directory.

What it does

CareDirectory allows users to quickly find doctors and specialists by viewing availability, practice locations, and gender, all in one place.

Challenges we ran into

We were ambitious and tried a lot of API integration to scrape data, this did not work out for us as the APIs were paid.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of building a strong and functional demo in just two days that demonstrates real potential to improve access to healthcare and grow into a more comprehensive platform.

What we learned

We learned how to rapidly prototype a user-centered solution under time constraints and the importance of clear data organization when designing for accessibility.

What's next for CareDirectory

We want to add more data to cover more area. Add more ways to get data, and implement an actual AI assistant. We want to add insurance coverage as a filter and also add multilingual support.
