Inspiration:
Our inspiration for CareConnect came from recognizing that community workers often focus on serving others while neglecting their own health. We wanted to develop a platform that makes health tracking, reminders, and access to NGO support easier for them.
What it does:
CareConnect is a proposed website designed to support community workers by providing health tracking, medicine reminders, and access to verified NGOs for medical and financial assistance. Our goal is to create a simple and accessible platform that helps community workers prioritize their health.
How we built it:
So far, we have developed our project concept and prepared a presentation explaining the proposed features of CareConnect. We planned the website structure and discussed how health tracking, reminders, and NGO support could be integrated into one platform. We are currently in the planning stage, with website development as our next step.
Challenges we ran into:
As beginners, one of our main challenges was converting our idea into a practical and achievable solution. We also faced challenges in understanding the technical requirements, coordinating as a team, and deciding how to design a user-friendly platform. We worked together by discussing ideas, dividing responsibilities, and learning from one another.
Accomplishments that we're proud of:
We are proud of successfully coming together as a team and developing an idea that addresses a real-world problem. We created a project presentation, discussed the proposed features, and gained a clearer understanding of how technology can be used to support community workers.
What we learned:
Through this project, we learned how to identify a real-world problem and brainstorm a technology-based solution. We also learned about teamwork, dividing responsibilities, presentation design, and the importance of understanding users' needs before developing a product.
What's next for CareConnect:
Our next step is to develop CareConnect into a functional website. We aim to add features such as multilingual support, health tracking, reminders, and connections with verified NGOs. We hope to make the platform accessible and useful for community workers and continue improving it based on user feedback.
