Inspiration
CareBridge Voice was inspired by the challenges patients face after leaving the hospital, when they must navigate appointments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care with limited support.
What it does
CareBridge Voice is a Twilio-powered voice AI assistant that helps recently discharged patients understand their care plan, confirm appointments, identify barriers like transportation, and request follow-up support. It verifies a patient's identity before accessing personalized information, retrieves answers from approved healthcare data, escalates clinical questions to a human, and sends an SMS recap after the call. The platform also provides an operations dashboard where providers can review transcripts, actions, and safety events.

Challenges we ran into
Agent context and information retrieval
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of building a production-minded voice AI workflow instead of a simple chatbot demo. The agent can verify callers, retrieve personalized healthcare information, safely refuse clinical questions, create follow-up tasks, and send SMS summaries while keeping every action auditable.
What we learned
We learned how to use Twilio, Elevenlabs and work with agent knowledge bases.
