Working late, strangers taking care of your children, and expensive babysitters are just a few reasons why getting affordable and trustworthy childcare is difficult today. That is why we created Care Free Co-op for parents to exchange hours of care with other parents while simultaneously building a network.

How it works

Care Free Co-Op saves you money by exchanging time instead. Providing Childcare gives hours and using childcare uses up hours. Those who have received more hours than they have used are rewarded for their hard work with a small cash reward at the end of the month. However, those who have taken more than given will be charged for the service to pay for those who gave. Additionally, those who work during peak times will be rewarded even more for their time given than usual.

Mission Statement

Care Free Co-op understands that parents can’t always do it all, which is why we are committed to offering an affordable alternative to the teenage babysitter charging more than minimum wage. We know the importance of community, which is why we created our co-op platform. A co-op is defined as an institution operated by the people who use its services. With Care Free co-op, parents are able to choose who is taking care of their children through a network they built themselves. We are here to create a community where parents can have a much needed night out or work night shifts at ease.
