Inspiration

Accidentally stepping on the bottom half of a wine stem and then waiting over 10 hours in the emergency room, made this personal. After looking into this inefficiency, we found that Canadians all over were wasting massive amounts of time just waiting; that's why we created Care-Flow.

What it does

Care-Flow is a pre-arrival triage that efficiently balances ER demand while providing clinical teams with live data. This results in lower waiting times, more accurate data, and prioritization of those who need help the most.

How we built it

A lot of Celsius and not a lot of sleep is a powerful combination! Additionally, we are founders who have built using this exact stack and have already seen most of the errors that can arise.

Challenges we ran into

Lack of sleep, MongoDB continuously crashing, lack of available pizza, very cold weather, and a lack of skills regarding branching and merge requests.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building and rolling out a fully functional platform that can make a difference in less than a day.

What we learned

Sleep is good, definitely not overrated. This is a massive problem for Canadians everywhere and needs this solution, especially with the massive shortage of health care workers available.
