Inspiration
Breast Cancer is something which is a very serious health issue and spreading the right information about it is very important. We wanted to build a website that provides awareness regarding Breast cancer and also provides an additional feature of predicting cancer.
What it does
Our project helps us in detecting the tumors to be benign or malignant based upon the data provided by the user plus section for news and community for the user to provide them support.
How we built it
Awareness surrounding breast cancer is incredibly important as early detection, often through screening, can catch the disease when it is most treatable. Hence, we wanted to come up with a solution that provides the women to check themselves and get the results in a shorter period of time with accuracy.
Challenges we ran into
We had some hiccups during the building of the model. Deployment wasn’t easy for us initially on the Heroku platform but it was fun to figure it out finally.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We completed the project and were able to meet our expectations
What we learned
Apart from learning deployment and other technical skills, we learned how to manage our time and reach our expectations.
What's next for Care-Demia
We want to extend it to be useful to men suffering from this problem. Yes! men also suffer from breast cancer.
