Care Companion AI

Inspiration

We've had family members hospitalized that have felt lonely, so we thought "Why not change that?"

What it does

Care Companion assists nurses in handling patients, offers patients the opportunity to interact with AI to question their status, and allows them to interact with their environment.

How we built it

We built Care Companion using the dreaded typescript, next.js, supabase, and a free speech to text api.

Challenges we ran into

Not enough time for our complete vision.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Accomplished lots of work within eight hours and had lots of fun.

What we learned

Plan early, work faster, and music makes things fun.

What's next for Care Companion AI

Finalize CSS, better prompting of text to speech, and live nurse responses.
