Care Circle

Inspiration

Our inspiration for Care Circle came from personal experiences of frustration with the current healthcare system. We saw a need for a platform that empowers patients to take control of their health and enables healthcare providers to access patient data quickly and easily.

What it does

Care Circle is a comprehensive healthcare platform that provides patients with real-time access to their medical records, empowers them to make informed decisions about their care, and enables healthcare providers to deliver better quality care. It also includes a tool for monitoring infectious diseases and outbreaks in real-time.

How we built it

We built Care Circle using modern web technologies, including Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and various Azure services. Next.js provided a fast and efficient server-side rendering framework, while Tailwind CSS allowed us to quickly and easily style our application.

To host our application, we utilized Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure Cosmos DB. Azure App Service provided us with a scalable and reliable hosting environment, while Azure Functions allowed us to quickly build and deploy serverless functions to handle specific tasks. Azure Cosmos DB served as our NoSQL database, providing a fast and flexible way to store and query data.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges we ran into was integrating all the different components of the platform seamlessly. We also had to ensure that patient data was always kept safe and secure, which required a lot of careful planning and implementation.

What we learned

During the development of Care Circle, we learned a lot about healthcare systems, patient data privacy and security, and building scalable platforms. We also learned a lot about working as a team and collaborating effectively to build a complex system.

What's next for Care Circle

In the future, we plan to expand the platform to include more features and functionality, such as telemedicine and personalized healthcare recommendations. We also plan to continue to improve the platform's performance and security, and to work with healthcare providers to integrate Care Circle into their workflows.
