Inspiration: It was very annoying for me to carry around all my business cards and receipts with me everywhere I go, and I wanted a solution.
What it does: Makes it so you can easily store manage your business cards, and receipts with just a few simple steps.
How I built it: I used Swift, Xcode, and the OCR.space API
Challenges I ran into: The challenges I ran into were finding a good API that gave me enough requests and then implementing the API. Another challenge was making it so the API would output only the parsed data.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of: I am proud of building my own app from scratch and officially launching it to the app store.
What I learned: I learned that building an app is more difficult than I thought, I learned lots of things about IOS development and the process of building an app and shipping it to the app store.
What's next for CardCart: The next step for CardCart is to add push notifications so it reminds you a week or two after you have added a card so you don't lose contact with that person.
