The cardboard education app is a showcase for what the google cardboard is capable of. The app showcases the cardboard's ability to display 3d models and moving parts.
We were planning to let people join a classroom over the web. The instructor would be able to manipulate and draw on and around the models. We were unable to complete this portion of the project due to time constraints and issues with the web hosting.
The current iteration of the app showcases what an instructor would be able to show to the students. The three examples are Molecular Geometry, electromagnetic fields, and rotational motion. CardboardEducation allows the students to visualize the concepts that they learn inside class.
