Inspiration

CarbonSink uses blockchain technology to create a secure and decentralized platform for carbon accounting. The platform offers an integrated solution for tracking, managing, and trading carbon credits. It enables users to monitor their carbon footprint in real-time, providing accurate and transparent data on their carbon emissions. This data can be used to incentivize companies to reduce their carbon footprint by providing them with a monetary reward for reducing their emissions.

What it does

CarbonSink provides an end-to-end carbon accounting solution that enables companies and governments to track, manage, and trade carbon credits. The platform offers a user-friendly interface that allows users to input their carbon data, view real-time emissions, and purchase carbon credits. CarbonSink also supports the development and implementation of carbon capture technologies, which can help reduce the global carbon footprint.

How I built it

The CarbonSink project was built using blockchain technology, specifically the Ethereum blockchain. The smart contracts were written in Solidity, and the front-end interface was built using ReactJS.

What's next for CarbonSink

The next steps for CarbonSink are to continue to develop the platform and expand its features. Ultimately, CarbonSink's goal is to become the leading platform for carbon accounting, enabling a more sustainable and low-carbon future.
