Inspiration

We were inspired by the opportunity to empower the next generation and make our planet safer and better alongside the advancements of technology.

What it does

It allows you to understand how Virginia emits carbon and also provides insights on how carbon affects the environment and how code makes a difference in our community.

How we built it

We built it by generating prompts for a broad connection, then using fine coding skills that can be implemented and refined to create a smoother connection with the users and their software. We also made YouTube videos that racked up 100s of views.

Challenges we ran into

One major challenge we ran into was getting our app to work seamlessly with both Windows and macOS, as there are many differences between the operating systems.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of many things, as our Repo Scanner can scan entire codebases within seconds, and our file analyzer offers 24/7 expert-level clean strategies and options for what you are trying to achieve with your file.

What we learned

We researched how carbon emissions and AI go hand in hand. We researched how carbon emissions are measured, how they can be reduced, and how specific software and hardware components affect carbon emissions.

What's next for CarbonSense

We will utilize our viral YouTube channel to gather support for our cause in the schools we go to and our community. We also plan to contact local and state level leader sto raise more awareness and get financial support to gather solutions.
