Carbonless

Carbonless is a social sustainability application that gamifies minimizing our carbon footprints. The app allows users to track how many carbon emissions they save on a daily basis through restructuring habitual activities (e.g. laundry, recycling, driving/walking/biking). Users are able to add their friends on Carbonless and start group challenges. Challenges allow members to choose a time period, list of activities to be tracked, and a prize pool size. The prize pool size will determine how much money each group member will contribute to the challenge (e.g. if the pool were $20 and the challenge had ten members, each member would contribute $2). At the end of the specified challenge period, the challenge participant with the most carbon emissions saved would win the entire pool.
