Inspiration
We were inspired by the way the US is handling the global warming crisis and we wanted to inform people about how our everyday actions enhance the global crisis.
What it does
CarbonCalc is an informative calculator that first gives the user a brief introduction on what our Carbon Footprint is and what we do that creates it.
How we built it
We built it on a website called JSFiddle.
Challenges we ran into
The challenges we ran into were that we weren't sure on what we wanted the color scheme to be. Another challenge was getting the calculator to have limits so the user can't just enter some random numbers and get an unheard of number.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud that we can help inform people of the effects that we induce into the climate with everything we do on a day to day basis.
What we learned
We learned that the US has been a leading producing in CO₂ emissions in the world for quite some time.
What's next for CarbonCalc
The next thing is to add more information on what decreasing your footprint can do for the world.
