Inspiration Our inspiration for CarbonAware stems from the urgent need to address environmental challenges in Singapore and the broader global context. We were motivated by the city-state's commitment to sustainability and the opportunity to harness technology to empower individuals to make meaningful contributions to carbon footprint reduction.

What it does CarbonAware is a comprehensive platform that combines a mobile app and a website to provide users with personalized insights into their carbon footprint. Through the app, users can track their carbon emissions in real-time, receive tailored recommendations for reducing their footprint, and participate in challenges and activities aimed at promoting sustainable living. The website serves as an information hub, offering educational resources, community forums, and news updates on environmental issues and initiatives.

How we built it We built CarbonAware using a combination of cutting-edge web development technologies and mobile app development frameworks. The app utilizes machine learning algorithms to analyze user data and generate personalized recommendations, while the website incorporates interactive features such as forums and social media integration to foster community engagement. Our development process involved extensive research, prototyping, and user testing to ensure a seamless user experience across both platforms.
