Inspiration

I am a deep thinker. I like to go into deep thought about the environment and wether or not it will be the same in the future. I like to do anything I can to lower my carbon emissions. I've always thought that knowing how much carbon you activities emit is a smart way to get through to people.

What it does

This app is able to calculate your carbon emissions from various daily activities such as data consumption as well as KM travelled by Car

The app that I built focuses

It focuses on performing accurate calculations in order to find the carbon emissions based on different daily activities

How we built it

I built this app using Dart and the flutter framework. I used various widgets and used dart to code the backend for the project

Challenges we ran into

A challenge I ran into with making the app was adding texfields and making it look slick. However with some research on the official flutter docs, I was able to make it work.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of creating a nice and clean app which is able to inspire people to actively change their habits to lead to less carbon emissions.

What we learned

I learnt more about dart and the flutter framework which can help me in my future projects as well as in my other haclathons. I learnt more paticularly about the different widgets in the flutter frameowork.

What's next for Carbon Footprint Tracker

In the future, I want to add more activities for people to calculate their carbon emissions from as well as a pie chart to show the composition of your carbon footprint.
