Inspiration
As someone who is always on a desktop, phone, or laptop, I wondered if I was leaving behind any carbon footprint and that's what led me to research the carbon footprint the internet leaves behind.
What it does
This code creates a webpage/blog that informs people about the internet's carbon footprint and different ways they can reduce their internet's carbon footprint.
How I built it
I used IDE replit.com and coded in the language html5. I also utilized my Canva graphic designing skills to create some of the titles and the pictures. I created the header photo, "Carbon Footprint |Carbon Footprint of the Internet|", the search engine, web browser, and emails information photo, and the tips on reducing your internet's carbon footprint photo.
Challenges I ran into
As someone who has some experience in coding, I did run into some issues of how to align the text or change the font.
Accomplishments that I am proud of
I am happy to have accomplished creating a webpage! Also, I am proud that I got to put the coding skills I have been learning into this project.
What we learned
I learned new commands such as changing the font and also text-alignment.
What's next for the Carbon Footprint of the Internet
I wish to expand this project a bit further by creating an entire interactive website with a calculator added that helps people calculate their Internet Carbon Footprint.
