Inspiration
As climate change seems to be getting worse and more and more ignored, we wanted to let people know their impact, and aid them in changing their lifestyle to have a better impact on the planet.
What it does
The website is a survey to assess a person's lifestyle. Based on the answers, an estimated carbon footprint in metric tons of CO2 per year is given.
How we built it
To calculate the carbon footprint, we used Gemini to calculate the carbon footprint of each lifestyle choice.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenge was deploying the website on GitHub, as we had very little experience in deploying websites on GitHub.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of how far we've come with learning Drafter, since it was brand new to us a month ago.
What we learned
We learned more about GitHub and how to use Gemini in Drafter.
What's next for Carbon Footprint Calculator
We want it to be able to give advice in order to let people know exactly what they can do to lower their carbon footprint.
