Inspiration
Despite knowing the fact that the CO2 is harmful for the environment, and still ignoring the production of a really big amount of Carbon footprints by our self every year, is ridiculous! This app can help educate people about the impact of their choices and raise awareness about the issue of climate change.
What it does
This app takes maximum possible necessary data to calculate a person's carbon footprint. after collecting the data from the user, it will do the calculations with respect to the collected data and give the final output in a slide.
How we built it
I built it using only the front-end web development technologies like HTML, CSS and Javascript. Other tools like GitHub, Git and Visual Studio really helped me to get through this.
Challenges we ran into
To make the next/previous buttons and making it functional was a big challenge for me. At first glance this task seemed a lot easier.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of making an app that contributes for the good of our society.
What we learned
Practically this was my first big project that has a back-end logic of javascript. I learnt to handle a large algorithm and add updates to it.
What's next for Carbon footprint calculator
I was planning to add a few animations to the page but "next/previous" buttons took more than expected. so some animations are on the way.
