Inspiration
wanted to help people understand how their daily actions affect the environment. Many people don’t know how much carbon they produce, so I built Carbo Tracker to make it simple and easy to learn.
What it does
Carbo Tracker lets users check their daily carbon footprint from activities like travel, food, and electricity use. It gives clear results and tips to reduce pollution and protect the planet.
How we built it
Carbon Emission
Activity Amount × Emission Factor Carbon Emission=Activity Amount×Emission Factor
Challenges we ran into
Finding accurate emission data for different activities
Making the design simple to understand for beginners
Fixing bugs in calculations and display formatting
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Created a working carbon tracking tool from scratch
Designed a clean and user-friendly interface
Learned new skills and improved problem-solving
What we learned
How carbon emissions affect the planet
How to build interactive web apps using JavaScript
How to present data clearly and simply to users Add login and history features
Show charts and graphs for better tracking
Include more activities and accurate data
Publish it online so more people can use it
What's next for carbo tracker
