Around Drivers
Inspiration
When people are driving they usually run into conditions when they want to communicate with other drivers on the road, maybe for help, chatting or just discussing who will use a parking lot. Furthermore, if drivers are on their way home they also want to share their real-time locations to tell their families they are safe and how long they’ll be home.On the base of these scenarios, we developed our car easy app to make the communication among drivers and drivers and their families easier, making driving a more humanized, safer and happier thing.
What it does
1.When the car around you be slow in response or behave abnormally, you can use our app to give that poor guy a kind suggestion to take a break.
2.When you are stopping / starting your car but there is another car blocked your way, and to the worse the owner of that car is not there, you can use our app to get in touch with that driver.
3.When the road trip is so long and boring you can use our app to find someone on the same way feeling bored too to chat with each other.
4.When you want to know the road condition ahead (such as the reason of the traffic jam and how long will the road be clear ) you can use our app to ask the driver in the front of the queue.
5.When you are confused about the directions to the place you are heading for, you can ask other drivers around you for they may know the right way.
6.When you want to make an overtake but the driver in front of you are ignoring your light signal, you can use our app to remind that driver about your intention.
7.You can also let your family and friends know your location or safe status in time with our app conveniently and safely.
How we built it
Back-ground Service was built by Golan. Front-end was built by Android. UI was done by Photoshop
Challenges we ran into
The only challenge we faced was the short of time. We are exciting, having a lot of ideas and want to realize as many our thoughts as possible. However, time flies, to the relief,we finally have finished our presentation demo.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We think our ideas are new and practical and we’ve made the majority of them come true. We are proud of our team and things we have done.
What we learned
We learnt how to communicate with other team members more efficiently and how to do more things under pressures in a limited time.
What's next for Car Share(车趣)
The location system will be more accurate and the display system will be more humanized and visualizable. We are going to find more scenarios in driving where there are inconvenience and provide certain services to make driving easier and safer. Our future vision and strategy is to build a driving social networking community.
