Inspiration

Current car buying is already a difficult decision to make. With thousands of cars to choose from and test before purchasing, it may not always be possible to make the time to drive and shop around.

What it does

Using AR and Tonnes of new features for cARS, our goal is to help buyers view the cars wherever and whenever they wish.

How we built it

Using Figma and Swift's ARkit and Metal frameworks

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into were getting our app to run on several devices. With different versions of OS and firmware that can match the device, it was difficult to run the app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of how we were able to implement the AR part of our app, making it possible to view a model of a car selected.

What we learned

We learned how it can be difficult to make the AR viewing as realistic as possible. Along with the AR part of the app, we realized how it is important to include all important information about the cars for the users/buyers.
