I am digital advertising professional. Always interested in innovative tools and experimentation. I believe Spark AR is a great tool for attracting advertisers to use this medium in their ads.

What it does

Its an ambitious interactive execution, based on Target image tracking. It is specifically created for scanning the printed ads from magazines and brochures. A 3D car model appears after scanning the car image (Target image). Auto industry is always interested in providing innovative methods to elaborate car features to their potential customers. This filter will provide opportunity to customers to view the interior and exterior features of the car, right at their desk.

How I built it

I have used a 3D model of a car and imported it in Spark AR. Some customization is done in 3D model where I wanted to add interactivity. The good thing is that, all the interactivity and animations are created through patches in patch editor, without using custom scripts.

Challenges I ran into

Main challenge, i faced was to keep the size of the execution below the required limit. To produce a realistic looking car is very difficult in small file sizes. I have tried to use minimum images in order to achieve it.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I think with this effort, I can now practically produce ads in Spark AR and can pitch to the clients with great confidence. And I am proud that I am pioneering this innovative AR ad which I have never seen before in the industry.

What I learned

I learned that Spark AR is very powerful tool and it have a great potential to create amazing AR effects. During the process I have learned many technical information which I didn't knew before.

What's next for Car Explorer

Now I can go in the advertising market and can create more innovative ads across the industries from FMCGs to Auto industry.
